TEXTING DRIVERS

So you think you're pretty good at
texting and driving?

This driver thought so too!

How many car lengths will you travel while pressing 'hi how r u?'
(The number of car lengths will be about the same at any speed because as speed increases drivers should be leaving a wider gap)
Texting 'Hi how r u?' will take at least 25 seconds and in that time (with a three second gap between cars) a texter's vehicle will travel about eight car lengths in ordinary traffic conditions.

While worrying about the condition of your friend you could kill or seriously injure yourself, at least eight other drivers in front of you, plus their passengers, plus people who may be traveling in the opposite direction.

Do you want that on your conscience?

Did you know that 90 percent of drivers aged under twenty-five consider themselves to have above average driving ability, even though only half can be above average for their age group?

Young drivers die at a faster rate than any other age group because too many are over-confident.

DON'T TEXT WHILE DRIVING!
